A breakthrough approach to online fundraising, gardenofhope.ie is an initiative proposed and developed for The Irish Cancer Society to extend its Daffodil Day fundraising efforts to digital channels. The application is fully interactive allowing visitors and users to pass through the garden, view dedications to friends and loved ones affected by cancer, and allows new visitors to plant a daffodil, create a dedication and most importantly, leave a donation. Ongoing enhancements continue to grow traffic and donations with latest additions including photo and video upload facility. A good example of how to successfully apply innovative technology to a traditional challenge.
